What is with this framing? Many on the left think it has amazing potentional for positive societal change. Many on the right are oligarchs who want to control it. But sure in your world its definitely a clean right/left split.

The stupidest thing about stupid shit like this? It's trivial to work around. Hah they even admit it right in the middle of the article: "ShieldFont isn’t perfect by a long shot. [...], it can be defeated with relative ease." They hurt things like screen readers and did nothing to scrapers.

This is true for the main MS copilot that they've jammed into everything but *github* copilot is a legitimately good harness. I think it's better than claude code or codex using the same model. It's especially stupid they called them the same thing and have hurt the github brand that much more.

Complaining about a digital copy of a game not being able to run in 50 years is the worst possible argument for defense of physical media. Do people think discs last 50 years? Do they think that *players* are going to be available in 50 years?

I think copilot as a harness is better than claude for coding. Problem is that it is worthless w/o the models. Anthropic switched to api usage billing, it became impossible to justify the cost and people unsubbed. If MS can make K3 available at subscription prices? Worth it again.
