Yesterday’s wildlife encounter, a very short sighted mink. We thought we were going to have get off the boardwalk to let it past. Thankfully it looked up.

The pond jacuzzi is back in action. It’s amazing the difference one small foam filter makes!

Yesterdays lunch included mique, ma belle-mere said that when she was a girl the village used to use the bread oven every 12 days to make a big wheels of bread. Mique was a way of using bread when it went stale.

The mini tree is up with some pretty ancient decorations. Now sat watching the lesser spotted woodpecker having a good go at our fence posts

Well that was worth getting up. Here’s hoping the ceps I found yesterday get turned into something equally delicious!

We had our first hawk moth caterpillar since we moved in 5 years ago. Clearly taking out half the fake grass the previous owners installed and adding loads of plants was well worth it!
