even though the gods are crazy

Got an idea for a TV programme. It's called Celebrity Show - basically the idea is you get a group of celebrities in to do a sort of long form elimination game show, like Traitors or I'm A Celebrity or whatever, but they don't know what the concept will be and it changes every series

I've probably got more than three days' worth of certain foods due to my "it was cheap, I enjoyed the snack, let's keep buying that food over and over" habit. There is probably only so much nutritional value in vegetable fingers though

I imagine putting together Celebrity Traitors to tell some dramatic story to be a bit like doing it with footage of meerkats for Meerkat Manor. Not sure if much is really happening in reality. Just celebrities hanging around hoping they stay on TV for a while

New Avalanches album is very good imo, I already liked the "old consumer technology, how in awe of it when you were a kid, and the way it was sold to you, takes up a big chunk of your memory now" idea but the whole thing is a fun listen

I wonder if there's been a professional footballer who hasn't made their full name public for whatever personal reason? Like you've made a new signing and he's just called Gavin N.

After a week of this muck outside people are going to be begging for the return of "why is it so warm and settled?" There is only so much soup you can eat before you get bored of it

Always liked James Maddison, I know he's meant to be your "don't like him but I'd want him on my team" player but I don't really have a dog in the fight so I just enjoy watching him (between injuries)

Ali G just one in that long line of "what the fuck were we doing?" obsessions Britain has from time to time. It was a one joke sketch character and for some reason there was enough demand for films and spin-off novelty records etc.

I wonder if the bit on the new Fontaines DC album where they lift the chorus of If You're Not The One by Daniel Bedingfield is deliberate. I reckon not haha, like the melody came to them and they didn't know why

Changed my mind about Ross Kemp. I don't think he's got PTSD from a war Grant Mitchell fought in. I think he's carrying the weight of some stuff he knows or has seen through connections and cannot blab. Some really mad shit

I imagine there being a bit of brainstorming on which word they're going to use to describe this sort of stuff before they went with "smart". People like the idea of having a smart version of something but there's never much explanation of what is meant to be so smart about it
