I was watching the Argentina-Egypt match at lunch. It was 2-0 Egypt at 75 minutes in. I walked back to my office, took care of things, and then see Argentina won 3-2 lol. I must have missed an absolutely insane end to this match!

If you asked me two years ago if I'd vote for socialist/far left candidates I'd have said no. But let's be honest here - we've tried the same thing in the US for like 50+ years now and things have progressively gotten worse and worse for the average person while the wealthy get wealthier.

I've been thinking about this quote from Oscar Wilde a lot lately: "Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious." The MAGA movement has this nationalistic virtue-signaling that is purely performative. Everything they stand for goes against the values on which this country was founded.
