Remote Viewing, a new sculptural work that displays (to scale, one-to-one) what Google Earth sees of the location it's placed in currently on view at the Fellbach Triennial Kleinplastik 🛰️

The sculpture appears as a pinkish/reddish square face up on the floor of a large exhibition hall. You can see that its surface is striped, but not much else. Behind it are sculptures and video artworks mounted on a large scaffoldA close up of one corner of the sculpture. You can see that the main pink/red striped image is very pixelated. In the corner is an infographic - the text is too small to read but it shows views compiled from different bands of landsat 8 and 9 with bright colours that contrast strongly with the main imageAnother close up of one corner of the sculpture, also showing an infographic. For the 4th year in a row, my all-sky camera has been taking an image of the sky above the Netherlands every 15 seconds. Combining these images reveal the length of the night changing throughout the year, the passage of clouds and the motion of the Moon and the Sun through the sky. #astrophotography

This image shows the hourglass shape of the nights shortening and lengthening from winter to summer and from summer to winter, passing clouds, the Moon passing through the night sky every month (diagonal bands) and the Sun climbing higher in the sky during summer.

This NYE I'm hoping to finally finish my BBQ built from (mostly) found objects. About to pour my first section of concrete + local rock inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's 'Desert Masonry'.

In the backyard of a house next to a concrete patio is a garden with a stone wall in front of it. The half closest to the viewer is a partially built barbeque made from rocks, squares of concrete and rusty steel. There is a wooden triangular box with one face mostly open that has been built on the right side of the barbeque.
