Rep. Aisha Gomez: “To look at people standing up against ICE and see ‘paid protesters’ says nothing about us and everything about you.” “That you cannot conceive of us loving our neighbors so much that we would actually do something for them.”
imagine walking into a gym and telling the trainer you want to be able to lift 200 lbs. The trainer tells you instead of building you up to that, they have a device you can wear and lift up to 400 lbs. right now. But you can only wear it in the gym and you can't buy it anywhere else. Just a thought.
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
SDCC attendees, check this out if you want a fun and insightful conversation on comics.

If landlords are upset it must be a good policy.
Oh, no. Won't someone think of the folks who own several properties during a housing crisis. What a shame.
If a trans person makes a mistake and doesn't realize there's a unisex bathroom, they could be arrested and charged. This means that trans people are still banned from a large portion of public bathrooms in Idaho and it isn't always clear which ones they're banned from and which they aren't.
First they came for… This is not the first targeted attack on dissenters. They are going to keep doing this as long as people are unaware of what they are doing and they are not receiving much pushback. If you let them do this to those speaking out, you will no longer have people speaking out.
Feds raided the homes of rapid responders in Minnesota today on a flimsy pretext of conspiracy obstruction. Per Vitalist, they’ll characterize those arrested as being members of “antifa.”
The AI rollout is an incredible test case for the power of capital to overrule everything in its way. An overwhelmingly stupid, obscenely polluting, and wildly dangerous set of technologies are being brute-forced into every part of our lives because money says so.
One of the biggest failures in human civilization is the idiocy of making the capital "I" looks exactly like a lower case "l"

I was watching "The Time Machine" (1960) for the first time, and I turned away for a minute as David entered the story, but as soon as I heard him I said out loud "That's Scrooge McDuck!." And it was!

Once again- If AI is a tool, the casual user is not the wielder, rather who the tool is used on. The wielder is the owner, and the owner has not interest in the casual user's well being.
Just a reminder: The Guardian entered a strategic partnership with OpenAI a little while back, so any time you see an article like this from them, you can immediately dismiss it as not credible journalism but just Sam Altman getting his money’s worth.

New Song vs. Song episode and this one was fun! We brought on AJ Marks from Main Pod Girl and we argued which song got us dancing through the lockdowns, "Say So" by Doja Cat or "Levitating" by Dua Lipa, and why both of them seem to fall juuuuust short of main pop girl status

somehow I fell a rabbit hole of YouTube videos criticism the Mighty Ducks movies with fun Hockey facts, editorial inconsistencies, plot concern, and critiques about Charlie as a character. And I have one to add: I don't believe he's a Pantera fan.
