🇳🇱 At the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, MAMBO tools are tested for species identification. The site allows the project to evaluate how monitoring technologies perform in a dynamic coastal dune system influenced by both natural processes and water management activities.

🇳🇱 At Oostvaardersplassen, MAMBO tools are tested for habitat condition mapping from remote sensing. These activities help assess how remote monitoring technologies perform in extensive wetland ecosystems that are shaped by natural dynamics and large herbivores.

🇲🇹 The AMI-trap consists of UV and white lights for attracting and photographing nocturnal insects, containing high-capacity data storage to collate images over long sampling periods. Due to the saline marshlands attracting Lepidoptera, Il-Magħluq ta’ Marsaskala is an ideal site for its deployment.

AudioMoth is an acoustic recording device that captures sounds from the surrounding environment and applies recognition models to detect and identify. Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park was selected for the use of this technology due to the high abundance of Acrididae species recorded within the area.

🇲🇹 Majjistral National Park is located in Mellieħa, Malta, and protects a 6-kilometre stretch of coastline designated as a Special Area of Conservation within the Natura 2000 network. Its diverse habitats support a variety of endemic and rare plant and animal species. 🔗 www.mambo-project.eu/pilots
