🔥 High fire danger sticks with us this week across parts of Arizona. The driver? An area of low pressure digging into the western U.S. It hangs around through midweek before lifting out, letting a ridge build in from the south. Until then, temps stay just below average☀️

Bild

APS could shut off power to 10,000 customers Saturday morning starting at 9 AM for parts of the high country. It is a wildfire prevention measure. If you are in the Flagstaff area, please prepare tonight. Emergency kit. Water. Food. Medications.

🔥 Red Flag Warnings cover most of Arizona Friday through Sunday. SW winds 20-30 mph with gusts 40-50 mph. Humidity drops to 5-15%. That is an extremely dangerous combination. Do not start any outdoor fires this weekend. One spark is all it takes.

🌡️ One more scorcher in Phoenix before temperatures drop. Fire danger is HIGH. Avoid outdoor burning, do not toss cigarettes from vehicles, and make sure nothing is dragging from your car. Valley highs drop into the low 100s by the end of the weekend.
