Was in Ukraine for past three weeks, in the west of the country. From there to the frontline is almost far as to Amsterdam in the other direction. This picture taken outside my apartment in Lutsk summarizes my stay. Ukraine is at war but it is not a war zone. And in Lutsk they separate their waste.

Dit soort uitspraken helpen op geen enkele manier bij het terugvechten. Ze legitimeren enkel een soort superieure inertie en apathie bij juist die mensen met de positie en middelen om terug te vechten. Als de rechtsstaat klaar was zou je dit niet meer durven zeggen. Discuss.
