Three years ago, police shot and killed my friend at the #StopCopCity protest camp in Atlanta. There’s no justice for a life stolen. But it’s important to think about what would stop future police (and ICE) murders from happening. Why not start by disarming them all?

It’s possible to say that the US has always been an exceedingly violent and racist country — and things have reached a local maximum requiring a society-wide mobilization to push back. The country’s history should be a reason to get off the couch, not stay on it.
