If The Mr. Men Show was actually true to Roger Hargreaves' original drawing style, I think the characters would look like this. A bit of asymmetry and more round and a bit more Peanuts-like.

Here's kind of a basic atlas of mouth/expression types that I wanted to sketch out. Kind of going a fine line between cliché and originality, and I believe this probably strikes the perfect balance. Also wanted to maintain a cute yet expressive aesthetic.
