(/1/} = Writing update: I just finished the first draft of the short story "Compartment Syndrome." It's a tale set in my Earth Interregnum series. I wrote 1009 words today. The ending count of the first draft is 6119 words. I may move on to something else tonight.

(1/2) =I accomplished no writing yesterday. Therefore, my word count was zero. But it wasn't because I was depressed or because I didn't feel like I could write. It was because it was my birthday and I was way too busy.

Just returned from seeing Spider-Man: Brand New Day. No spoilers, but it was Amazing. It was Spectacular. It was Ultimate. It was pretty good too.
And now for your regularly scheduled update. Yesterday's word count saw the addition of 1246 words to THE short story COMPARTMENT SYNDROME. That brings the total count to 5110 words. I'm inching closer to novelette status than short story status.

(1/) - I spent a lot of time with family yesterday, so my overall word count was a little lower than I'd like, but still respectable. I put 1020 words into the short story compartment syndrome, bringing the current grand total to 3864.

(1/2) - Tonight's writing output has been very respectable. I added 1190 words to the short story Compartment Syndrome. That brings the grand total to 1710 words. I'm shooting for between 3000 and 5000 words. It's nice to be working in a universe I haven't touched in a long time.

I just put in a fresh 502 words on my new project, Compartment Syndrome, a short story from The Earth Interregnum. I have a folder stuffed with notes for this I've wanted to work on over the last 6 years. It'll be a while before I ned to worry about ideas. I'm cursed with overabundance.
(1/2) - The first draft of Frankenstein King of the Dead book 3.5: Morgan's Run is done! I put 1593 words to the manuscript today, bringing the grand total to 12,105 words. Which is considerably higher than the 10,000 I was shooting for.

(1/3) - Yesterday's word count was small. Not because I couldn't write, but because I was really busy. Between going to the therapist, shopping, and not feeling so great (I had a cold), things were slow. I did write, but it was less than 500 words.
I crushed my word target today. I put 2,330 words into Frankenstein 3.5, bringing the grand total to 10,458. Just typing those numbers is intoxicating.

Last night, I added another 1612 words to Frankenstein 3.5, bringing the total to 8128. This short book, centering exclusively on Mogan Tepes, has been fun to write. I almost don't want to finish. The joy of creating again is addictive.
