Some kind of librarian. Reader and watcher of art films, gutter trash, and other sordid tales.
Watching The Thomas Crown Affair for the first time since it was in theaters. Bring back sexy art heist films!
I'm only ten minutes into War of the Gargantuas and they're already calling in the Frankenstein expert #filmsky
Watching Paul Mazursky's An Unmarried Woman and Jill Clayburgh is just not having *any* of it #filmsky
Finally got around to watching Spring Night, Summer Night (thx @kanopy.com) Like a southeastern Ohio Cassavetes movie, with hillbilly music, sad cigarette smoking, and salt-added beer. The town's miserable. Everybody's miserable. Reminds me so much of growing up there 😂
About two thirds through Larry McMurtry's doorstopper MOVING ON and wandering if my summer has now become Read All of Larry McMurtry's Houston Books Summer.
Watching Bergman's Brink of Life was definitely a choice to watch for Mother's Day. A psychological minefield in a Swedish maternity ward. Stark and heavy and harrowing.
New Evil Dead album *and* a new Boards of Canada album this summer? 14 year old me is straight chilling.
Sometimes you go to an antique store and end up coming home with a still sealed laserdisc of early 90s HBO mainstay Side Out and that's okay. #filmsky
