Andrew Sneed has won the CD5 runoff on the Dem side. He'll face Republican Dale Strong. And he'll give Strong a challenge. Sneed is an ideal candidate for southern Dems right now.

I can only assume that this is happening because it's just too darn hard to sift through all of the Trump lunacy and put together pieces that adequately capture the danger, ridiculousness and silliness of it all. Much easier to point out the flaws of the normal people.

This has been obvious for months now. It's one of the biggest reasons disinformation has spread so rapidly. Bullshit gets shared endlessly. Edited, fact checked news stories - not at all. Hope Bluesky never goes down this path.

If you're writing about Pam Bondi being the new AG nom and the fact she took a $25k bribe from Trump not to go after his scam university isn't in the first two grafs, you're burying the most important info. She was picked because she's a pliable stooge. The end.
This right here can never be said enough. The lack of movement on criminal charges against Trump - specifically for the fake electors scheme - contributed significantly to the ability of the GOP and rightwing media to whitewash the entire thing. And here we are.

No better encapsulation of the effectiveness of political messaging than conservative voters being outraged over trans women in women's restrooms but just eh over an actual sexual predator being the UNITED STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL.
Seems like a good time to bring up that a Bill Clinton AG nominee was forced to withdraw because she hired a nanny who lacked proper immigration paperwork.
What pisses me off are hosts who continue to miss the easy, obvious pushback that's most relatable to people. Like, "pardon me senator, but that issue has been studied repeatedly by scientists way smarter than you, & you know it. Stop saying untrue things to prop up a crazy person."

This all has a real Bronco chase feel to it. You don't want to watch but you can't not watch.
It's like a completely different world. I can handle disagreement and pointed criticism, but dozens of replies and DMs telling you to die or posting pics of your kid or calling you a pedophile wasn't exactly an awesome user experience. I really hope this place turns into okd school Twitter.
