PR for BIG WIND in Wales. I once took a KOM off Ed Laverack. 🏴. Still waiting for the Electroclash revival. Mostly bikes and wind farms here. Views own etc. hello@joshowenmorris.co.uk. Bangor, Kingdom of Gwynedd.
I am reminded of how perilously close Cardiff Uni came to announcing their new campus in Qazaqstan/Kazakhstan on the first day of April.
Universities cannot make money teaching home undergrads or doing funded research. Indeed, those run at a large loss. Only teaching international students make sense in any way. The logical endpoint is taking only international students, reducing research and moving many ops out of the UK altogether.
Trying to buy some specialty coffee beans in Newport this very afternoon, does anyone have any TOP TIPS?
Wonder why Polanski was keen to highlight the "relentless" action, but not the "establishing safe routes" bit
Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.
Every time people say they want a public inquiry for something, I do wonder if they know what a public inquiry is.
It is quite strange how little the actual public inquiry we're having into the UK's Covid response - the one that's publishing in-depth reports every few months - factors into the "you're not even allowed to ask these questions" complaints. We are, in fact, officially asking these questions!
I have signed up to do my regulation one crit of the year, where I will likely earn my one British Cycling point for the year.
Don't wish to be mean. But. How many people are going to be watching the commonwealth games on TNT? Less than 500?
Either about to get sacked from Leyland Paints (because the boss's son wanted my job) or getting on a boat to escape Ceredigion like my own father.
Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?

My next door neighbour has a long-forgotten Look KG76 sitting in his garage. New bikes are a million times better than old bike, but still I somehow would like it...
Just FYI those who buy gels, you can currently get large quantities of SIS gels for less than a quid each
We listened to The Queen Is Dead in the car this morning, and it occurred to me that Morrissey was being deadly serious when we all thought he was being funny. Also imagine how pissed off you'd be if you wrote a beautiful bit of music and some arsehole called it "Some girls are bigger than others"
Guys guys guys. Let’s all just chill out and agree he’s England’s greatest living racist cunt poet, yeah? ✌️
You can just look up someone's whole CV nowadays on LinkedIn. MP for 2 yrs Ran an industry group for 4 yrs But there's more! MP for 10 yrs PR for 1 yr Labour SpAd 2 yrs EU parliament advisor 3yrs Industry group advisor 2yrs. So that's 9 yrs industry Vs 17 in politics.
The fact that being a corporate lobbyist doesn’t automatically disqualify you for any government position is itself a fatal flaw in the UK’s system, which instead seems to constantly reward such backgrounds with even more power
This is unethical behaviour as a PR on multiple counts. Firstly, it being bribery. Secondly, having a comms budget with spare money in it.
In November, a lobbying firm approached me and asked to pay me to write articles critical of the Building Safety Regulator for newspapers. Filmed undercover, their staff admitted secretly paying reporters for copy in British newspapers friendly to their clients: www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
I may have made an error in thining I could continue to work in the house while a big chunk of it is demolished and rebuilt #smashy

I’ve been writing about the rich for years and ho boy, this one
Of course, if we hadn't seen a significant reduction, Farage would still be looking to make hay. He obviously isnt.
Small boats to UK now down 45% year on year to mid-July. The BBC continues to (mistakenly) tend to hypothesise a weather effect. It is neither weather nor UK govt policy. It is a change in EU-wide flows.
Millennials' favourite colour is obviously "landlord magnolia"
No fuck off we're not calling this "Millennial grey" this shit was dictated completely by boomer retiree house flippers we absolutely had NO say in this
This isn't going to be better in Wales. In fact, up here, it is likely to be worse.
Wow. The Department for Education has just published new projections which estimate that the number of pupils in state-funded schools in England will plummet by more than 9% by 2031 amid falling birth rates And yet this issue receives probably 1,000th of the coverage the immigration debate receives
