THE PRESENT IS PAST - 2023 Unsolicited Press CHANCE TO FADE & OTHER STORIES - 2025 Running Wild Press ESTUARY - 2026 Unsolicited Press https://linktr.ee/joshrank

Writing is wild. It's like there are thoughts hiding in your head all day and you can just decide to finally let them out. No clue what's in there. Then once it comes out, you read it back and realize, "Oh shit, that's what I've been thinking this whole time?" Does this make any sense?

Let's say a phantom journal told you an ex had your kid without telling you. Let's also say the it'd been right about this stuff before. Do you track down the kid? That's where this bad boy starts off. Ghosts! Death! Crippling depression! All the good stuff. www.unsolicitedpress.com/shop/p/estuary

My new novel is up for preorder! It follows a man with a diary that writes its own entries. Through this, he learns of an ex that had a son she never told him about. This sets off a series of events that include ghosts, the police, and of course, my dog. www.unsolicitedpress.com/shop/p/estua...

A great, simple joy in life is when you remember an artist you love but haven't thought about for a while. Then you can be like "Oh yeah, Jose Gonzalez!" and blast through the entire discography.

I hate to be one of those "wake up" people, but this is nuts. They're creating an evil straw man to justify an otherwise unjustifiable crackdown. The response to this shooting from the administration has been unfathomably disgusting, but this is something different. This is dangerous.

Leavitt: "The deadly incident that took place yesterday in Minnesota yesterday occurred as a result of a larger, sinister left-wing movement that has spread across our country where our brave men and women of federal law enforcement are under organized attack."

I don't talk about it much on here (I don't talk about much on here, in general), but I had a book come out this year of short stories and a novella that I think is fun. If you're into fun things, maybe you could get into this fun thing: bookshop.org/p/books/chan...

I've read more books in 2025 than I ever have in a single year. The lesson I've learned? Fiction is a much better way to spend your time than checking the news every five minutes and reading comments on comments on social media.

I've ordered 5 small press books in the last two weeks. I will continue to buy many more very soon. 2026 is the year of gobbling up as many small press books as possible. What should I read? Which presses are currently killing it?

It's release day! Chance to Fade & Other Stories is officially out in the world. 14 short stories and a novella covering a range of topics from collecting teeth, drawings that come to life, and finding love. bookshop.org/p/books/chan...
