In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Asheville’s River Arts District illustrated western NC’s resilience. There was no better place to announce Etsy’s $10 million investment in craft economies across America than the Center for Craft in Asheville last week.

The budget I signed is sending a clear message that we value our law enforcement officers. Investing in the next generation of North Carolinians who choose a career in keeping people safe will help us build safer and stronger communities.
Law enforcement is hard and sometimes dangerous work, but it is so important and meaningful. Today, I got the opportunity to meet with Raleigh PD officers in the K9 and SWAT divisions who have chosen a career in law enforcement.
Thanks to Oxbow River Snorkeling for showing Anna and me a unique underwater view of the French Broad River!
There’s still so much we must do to support our neighbors recovering from Hurricane Helene, and I am committed to matching the grit and determination of our mountain communities.

It’s great to see progress being made along the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you are spending this summer in the mountains, make plans to stop at Milepost 334, and you’ll find yourself in Little Switzerland: Anna and I picked up a few things and enjoyed some ice cream.
GOOD NEWS: Cleveland Community College has been awarded $1.7 million from the U.S. Department of Commerce toward a new health care workforce training facility. This innovative project will strengthen our workforce and support the long-term economic recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene.

I'm proud to have signed a budget that gets so many of my priorities done for North Carolinians.
A great capstone to a great week out west — a hike to Catawba Falls and a well-earned visit to Hillman Beer in Old Fort.
Every voter deserves confidence that his or her ballot won’t be thrown out for partisan aims. The current rules for rejecting a voter-ID exception form require unanimous, bipartisan agreement — a commonsense system that instills people’s trust in the process…
Every lawful voter deserves to have his or her voice heard. Yet under Auditor Boliek’s watch, the State Board of Elections has been directing counties to eliminate Sunday voting and remove early voting from college campuses including the country's largest HBCU.

Our son Adam has lived precisely 10% of our nation’s existence! What a great way to ring in 25 years of age! Happy birthday, Adam! We love you!
Anna and I finally got to B’s in Greenville early enough to get some lunch. Always popular, and now I know why. Great people and great food.
Happy Father’s Day to my dad, Adam, my hero. And I am thankful every day for Sam, Adam, and Leah who bring me so much joy. To all the dads across North Carolina, Happy Father’s Day.
How ‘bout them Heels! Congratulations to the UNC baseball team for making the College World Series Championship Finals this weekend!!! Let’s keep on winning.
What a game! Loved that Svech, Aho, and Staal scored our goals. Old school. LGC!
That was exhausting! With our backs against the wall, Canes win a great one. Loved that empty netter by Ehlers. The luck of the puck. 2-2 heading back to Raleigh. Let’s go, Canes!
I’m a very proud son of my parents — Jane and Adam — for each being awarded a 2026 Defender of Civil Rights by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro NAACP. They inspire me and so many others to do our part as “We the People,” the theme of today’s luncheon.
After Hurricane Helene destroyed the home where Ms. Debra spent more than 30 years raising her kids and grandkids, she found support from friends and family. Now, thanks to Renew NC, the state’s Single-Family Housing Program, she soon will be able to move into her beautiful new home....

Single-family, starter homes, duplexes, triplexes, condos, apartments, special needs housing – we need more all across the state. It’s going to take all of us coming together to solve North Carolina’s housing challenges.

What a solid win! Canes came out strong with three quick goals. And with their stout D, that was more than enough. Montreal could hardly get a shot off. Love the empty netter. Hat tip to Freddy for the shut out. One more to go! #LetsGoCanes
30 years ago, I married the love of my life. Happy anniversary, Sweetie. Thanks for being you and for saying, “Yes!”
Lake Lure is back! It took local, state, and federal governments working alongside local residents to get the job done. I am excited that folks will have the chance to rediscover this unforgettable place this summer.
The state is investing $3.5 million investment in Canton’s new wastewater system, just one of the 217 water infrastructure projects that have been funded across the state since the beginning of my administration.
With NCDEQ, we have advanced more than $1.6 billion to make sure our drinking water is clean and our infrastructure is stronger in the face of extreme weather.
North Carolina has already experienced more than 3,500 wildfires this year! The Forest Service is working hard to keep people safe and mitigate damage. My Hurricane Helene budget directs $10 million to respond to, control, and prevent future wildfires. Let’s get it done.
