Right now, it's hard to understand the slave trade. It feels so vile. (But then we remember it was profitable too). In the future, I reckon people will feel exactly the same way about the arms trade: It's vile, it's murderous, but it makes a lot of money...

Under the current system of law, any organisation - a community group, a school, a religion - can be classed as a "terrorist group" on a whim. You can then be arrested and thrown behind bars for supporting it. That's nuts.

If you're fine with people receiving hundreds-of-thousands of pounds in unearned handouts via inheritance, then don't you dare ever whinge about people on benefits getting £100 here and £200 there.

Let me get this straight... The first time Burnham tried to become Labour leader the membership rejected him. The second time Burnham tried to become Labour leader the membership rejected him again. Now he's being pushed on us without a vote? Smells dodgy to me...

Struggling to differentiate between antisemitism and anti-Zionism? Then ask yourself a simple question: Would an anti-Zionist Jew have an issue with the act/speech? If the answer is "yes", it's probably antisemitic. If the answer is "no", it's probably anti-Zionist.

If you "support a two-state solution", then put your money where your mouth is and give away half of your country's land to Zionist settlers. Don't expect the Palestinians to give away half of their land.

Burnham's record so far... + Promised rent controls, then backtracked. + Promised to work with Trump to bomb Iran. + Expanded oil drilling in the North Sea. + Spoke about Gaza without using the word "genocide". Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

All people should be granted the right to self-determination in all places (so long as they don't impinge on other people's right to self-determination). If you support a state which only gives self-determination to the members of one group, then you are a fascist. Shame on you.

I love the idea that rent controls might make landlordship unprofitable... + Landlords would be forced to sell their properties. + Property prices would plummet. + Former renters would be able to afford to buy their own homes. + Landlords would be forced to find productive work.

If you're opposed to "all violence" or "all forms of political violence", then you need to oppose armies, soldiers, police forces, police, border controls, prisons and prison staff - all of whom are violent.

Does anyone else get Nigel Farage vibes from Andy Burnham? He's charming, a great communicator, with a knack for taking people in. He supports a brand of mainstream, neoliberal, war-loving politics. He sticks around, despite being rejected by people time and time again...

Monocultures lack genetic diversity, which leaves them vulnerable to disease. The lack of biodiversity cannot sustain diverse ecosystems. Monocultures can only survive with poisons, such as pesticides and herbicides. This has been a post in favour of multiculturalism.

Labour Party members have rejected Andy Burnham, not just once but twice. If he's anointed now, without a vote, it'd be an insult to the party's members and to the English people as a whole.

If you thought things would improve when Johnson was replaced by Truss. Or when Truss was replaced by Sunak. Or when Sunak was replaced by Starmer. And you still believe that things will improve when Starmer is replaced... ...Well, then you're really not learning the lesson!

We don't need to change Prime Ministers every two years. We need to change the system once and for all. Neoliberalism has failed. We need an economy which serves the 99.99%, not the 0.01%.

My prediction... 1) Burnham becomes Prime Minister. 2) The country sees him for who he is. 3) Public opinion turns against him - his approval ratings plummet. 4) He's either replaced as Labour leader, or Labour lose 100+ seats at the next General Election.

Starmerite logic... The IDF: The militia behind a 78 year occupation, and an ongoing genocide: NOT a terrorist organisation. Palestine Action: A group that protests against genocide, which has never killed anyone: IS a terrorist organisation. #StarmerOut

> Fred West killed 12-20 people. No riots. > Harold Shipman killed 215-250 people. No riots. > 522 murders took place in England and Wales, in the year ending March 2025. No riots. > An immigrant kills 1 person. Violent riots. It's two-tier rioting, isn't it?

Andy Burnham... + Won't introduce PR. + Won't reverse Rachel Reeves' fiscal rules (aka "Austerity"). + Won't rejoin the EU. + Infected the NHS with PFI. + Voted for the Iraq War. + Voted against an inquiry into the Iraq War. If you want "change", Burnham isn't your man.

Anyone who wants others to be deported, should be deported themselves. Anyone who was controls on movement, should be stopped from entering the countries they'd like to visit. Anyone who classes others as "illegal", should be classified as "illegal" themselves. #Karma

You can leave the EU, scapegoat Muslims, deport every immigrant, silence every socialist, ban protests, imprison activists... ...Britain will still be neoliberal. Your wages will still be suppressed. Prices and rents will still go up. Corporate profits will still soar.
