1/ Russian commentators are reacting with a mixture of glee and caution to the deal between Vladimir Putin and the American president some call "our Trumpushka". While they applaud Putin's 'judo move', some warn that Trump isn't to be trusted and that the US is still an enemy. ⬇️
East Pacific has been just a conveyor belt of hurricanes this year. Really wish they could all end up tracking across the Upper Colorado River Basin.
I do think we are on cusp of significant momentum towards renewables. If I was an energy importer after these last 5 years I would be doing everything possible to get away from fossil fuels

AI is more a classic bubble. Dutch disease imo is a longer term economic issue caused by one sector that is wildly profitable. And that ain’t ai. Taiwan would be more akin to Dutch disease with the chip fabs.

Two people who I think are going to go far in the 2028 Dem primary are Ossoff and Buttigieg. They both are very at ease in public & get their points across well while also being young and decent looking.

It is frustrating to me the economic lifeline the West has given Russia by not ending trade, both with Trump not doing shit while driving oil up higher and with European countries unable to agree on sanctions.

The most significant impacts will likely be from heavy rainfall in desert portions of far southeastern CA, western AZ, and much of UT. Serious flash flash flooding is possible, depending on track, anywhere from eastern slopes of San Diego County mtns to mtns of central Utah.
The oppression of homoxesual people in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), labeled as capitalist bourgeois, was among the severest (prison, gulag). China was similar during its socialist era before opening up. Trans was unthinkable, let alone trans people playing sports.
