A woman reaching the highest office is progress. Still, gender equality means little if women's bodies and clothing remain subjects of political debate. And, the real question is not how short a skirt is, but why it matters so much to those in power.

Fascinating research. And, an important reminder that human activity affects wildlife in ways we cannot always see. Actually, the irony is hard to miss. We are teaching marine mammals to respond to sounds while learning how much our own noise might be affecting them.
