First training session of „Deep Space Dine“ which I brought back from Essen. Super compact sci-fi „puzzle“ with a lot of interesting decisions.

Played some „Ora et Labora“ the other night (the French side, even though I barely got any wine). This game still very much holds up - super enjoyable!

Played the original „Caylus“ after years of not playing it and it still very much holds up! The designer (William) was playing „Shogun“ at the neighboring table by the way 🫣 Definitely one of the meaner euro-/workerplacement games out there.

Ok - I have to confess that the Solo-Pachisi (For One: Mensch ärgere dich nicht) is not easy… Interesting dice puzzler.
Yesterday’s game night was only one game: „Bier Pioniere“ and I really enjoyed this one; even though it went a tad too long for what it is. Pretty sure we can decrease the game time significantly when playing again soon though.
Finally we were able to continue our Thursday game night (our regular venue had some technical issues for quite a while) but we almost had 20 gamers joining us, so we had some great games on the various tables. I enjoyed „7 Empires“ and „Foundations of Metropolis“ - and actually won them both 🫣

„Zombie Teenz Evolution“ is a great way to introduce the Little One to the „Legacy“ genre! She literally couldn’t wait to open the second envelope after the first one! 🤭

Played a full 4-player-session of „War of the Ring: the Card Game“ and it’s really amazing how thematic this one is. Imagine the inner dialogue here between Smeagol on one side and Gollum on the other! So cool! #boardgames
