visual code blocks (blueprints etc) have always been an absolute nightmare to me i understand the metaphor as it relates to code but the layout doesn't help me orient my perspective and doesnt help me with organization i started on gamemaker's blocks and was constantly confused b4 switching to code
I generally sympathize, but I think people are both underestimating the amount of knowledge needed for visual scripting and overestimating the amount of knowledge required to write code. The gap is much smaller than people think! But I get it; the barrier to entry for writing code is much higher.
