The FCC knocked down the last of the guardrails keeping Trump-aligned media from taking over more local TV. They got rid of the longstanding rule that keeps a single media company from reaching 40% of the country or more. No more cap, but rather a case-by-case review. Wonder what the criteria is.

Heard Kevin Hasslett and the current administration take credit for oil prices going down last year (before the war) but the truth is; prices started 2025 relatively firm (upper $70s/low $80s) but were expected to soften, and they did, trending downward for most of the year on oversupply concerns.
