Commodore Callback phone: it's very pretty. Similar to Clicks Communicator in goals and design. My idea might be a combination of features from both: - Flip/clampshell form: love it - QWERTY keyboard > numpad - Blocking social media, email, Slack etc. should be optional

OK, I'll add RSS to my Astro site. And set up a reader again. I have a Feedbin account, but it got clogged, I added too many email newsletters. And one of them made a mess by sending each email from a different address. Wish there was a reset button so I could start again from a clean account.
It's not just me that says that our social web should be connected by RSS. Cory Doctorow said it. Molly White said it. And last week Ben Werdmuller said it. If they all did it, we'd have all the freedom we could ever want. So what's holding it up? Links in first reply.
I want to give WordPress another chance. And bbPress (the official forum plugin). Thinking of a plugin that goes on top of those, to make a "slow messaging" system. Lots of group chats don't need instant updating. Instead: time-delayed or buffered to encourage slower, thoughtful responding.
I’ve been writing about the rebirth of Wordpress in similar terms for many months, on my blog, in podcasts, hoping people would listen. Wordpress is a lot more than people think it is. We can have all this, a lot sooner than you might think.
Advent of Code 2024 starts in 5 days. Will you make a commitment to just give it a go?
I'm building my homepage with @astro.build I've migrated from WordPress. It's mainly a blog. I've yet to maximally make use of the metadata (tags, categories) included with my content.
