I've been thinking about disconnecting from my pseudonym and just going by my name. I want to take voice acting more seriously and I want to be taken more seriously in turn. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Would love some input. Did you get more work before/after, etc?

Voice actors, have any of you started an LLC yet? I'm having to keep a close eye on my VA income for tax reasons and wondering if it would be beneficial to start one. Since most of the income I make from VA goes back into the content I produce, I figure I could write those off as business expenses.

AAA studios are struggling, not because they're going "woke". Indie game devs are creating better games with more replayability for $30-40. AAA studios release half a game for $70. I feel bad for these incredibly talented devs when it's obviously a management issue.

What are some of your favorite JRPGs? Could be a classic or new. Thinking about posting some playthroughs and I need some ideas. I have yet to play Chrono Trigger, but I'm told regularly that I need to! 😂

New VAs, your time and your talent has value! Don't ever feel like you NEED to work for free to get your name out there. While there are some solid unpaid gigs, most may hold you back. If you're working on an upaid project and you feel like it's not going anywhere, YOU will not go anywhere.

I've always been incredibly self-conscious of my singing voice, and I'm trying really really hard to get over it, since I LOVE writing music. This is the first verse of something I've been working on, and I hope someone out there enjoys it!

Just removed all of the VA content and music I had posted to Twitter. Their AI system goes live November 15th, with no option to opt out of using your content to train their AI.

Went back and listened to some old recordings from when I first started voice acting... Yikes! 😬 Definitely rough to listen to, but hearing my own progress feels good at least.
