It's RPGaDay August again and, typically, I haven't started anything, this time due to being busy with work, going home at the weekend to facilitate hospital visits for parents, & generally feeling a bit exhausted. Probably can't be arsed to start & I'm pretty sure no-one would be interested anyway.
I have had three blokes out so far to fix my en suite toilet, which originally had a leaking isolation valve. Each “fix” has resulted in a new problem to the extent that I now have water coming through my living room ceiling. Fucking. Brilliant.
First game of Silver Bayonet this morning with my mate Darren. Quite enjoyed it and even managed to smash out a few Napoleonic Zombies this morning for the game. The British unit I’ve kitbashed still need a lick of paint but I’m enthused to finish them off after enjoying the game so much.

Gah, this holiday is starting to feel like more work than work… last week was meetings and job applications, this week it’s fixing a toilet that’s become one of those endless jobs where new problems arise around each corner… Wishing I’d just gone away somewhere instead of skulking around at home…

Went to take some trash out and nearly punted the biggest hedgehog I’ve ever seen across my driveway because the little bugger was hiding in the shadows at the end of my path. Took them out some leaves but they’d already buggered off into the hedges.
Woken at 3am this morning when I accidentally kicked the cat while rolling over and she proceeded to make her ire known by taking several chunks out of the offending foot. She then woke us back up at 4.30 chasing a moth through a bedside lamp…

Bought myself a little dwarf friend as a treat from @fenrisgames.com - he will be part of my Five Leagues for the Borderland/WRFP mash up adventuring party. Holiday in just over a week - hoping to get the solo campaign up and running then, which will mean some speedy painting is needed!

It's only getting up to 20 degree here today. Which in my book is still hot, though that book is probably needing some revisions after this week.
Temps dropped. Been out in the garden and got the lawns mowed. Feels like a win.
New The Ghost in the Shell anime looks like it could be pretty good based on the first couple of episodes watched at the local cinema. Cleaving close to the manga which is a change of pace from the other anime versions.
Epic thunderstorms this morning. Bolt lightning on the horizon too. Fucking humid now though.
The air conditioned office at work is lovely and cool. Going into the corridors outside it feels like stepping out onto the surface of the sun.
