Sad to see, but sounds necessary. The cost of maintaining all current features of OSF would be $4-5 million/yr -- far more than I ever realized. This should serve as a reminder to us all that open science is not a service an external group provides, it's a responsibility that lies with all of us.

Puzzled that an #lme4 model that didn't converge before now reported no issues, I found that as of lme4 1.1-38, "derivative-based convergence checks are now skipped for models with large data". I can't find any more information - what's best practice here? Assume the model is "fine"? 1/3 #rstats

An article about data visualization was retracted 1.5 years after I pointed out errors. The notice says that "concerns were raised". I spend dozens of hours contacting authors and editors, reproducing analyses, and following up on ignored emails. But I'm not mentioned in the retraction notice.
