Mom of four, Illinois Lt. Governor, Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate. Giving the people what they want. https://linktr.ee/julianaforillinois

This Labor Day, I’m thinking about my mom and grandfather, and how their union paychecks and benefits made a real difference in our lives. I can’t wait to bring the fight for safety, security, and dignity in the workplace to Washington.

I had such a great time in Southern Illinois last week — from Collinsville to Carbondale to DuQuoin and more! I’ve represented Illinois for the past 8 years, and I promise to be a true advocate for every corner of this state in Washington.

Today marks 71 years since Emmett Till was brutally murdered in Mississippi. Emmett should have had a long life, and I’m pausing to remember him today. White supremacy kills, then and now. I will always fight racism and injustice in all its forms.

A country icon, literacy advocate, and humanitarian. Dolly Parton's generosity touched countless lives.   In Illinois, her Imagination Library delivered over 5 million books to kids across our state. We’ll continue to lead with kindness in her memory. May she rest in peace.

Thank you to our Black Women for Juliana coalition for an amazing brunch today. Black women’s issues are all of our issues, and I will fight tooth and nail to make our voices heard in Washington. There was so much wisdom in the room today!

We don’t need the government telling us what to do with our bodies, or insisting that things are great while costs continue to rise and American families struggle. That’s why I’m headed to Washington: to get things done and fight for YOU.
