Do we think this day might have gone differently if the Orioles had won the series vs. the Phillies this weekend? What if they'd won all three games and were at .500? Would Elias have sold?
This hurts so much worse than the Manny trade, and that really sucked. That guy is a future Hall of Famer. I'm not sure we can say that about Adley, but it doesn't matter. With Manny, it was a foregone conclusion for two years that he'd be traded. I didn't think they'd trade Adley until like 10 a.m.
And by the way, if I'm Pete Alonso, I'm pretty pissed right now. I'm sure he took the most money, but I'm also sure he thought he'd win here. I doubt he saw this coming in December. Just a total joke of a franchise.
My kid, who I've been indoctrinating as an O's fan since birth, is away at camp this week. I won't talk to him until Friday. Adley is by far his favorite player. He plays catcher because of Adley. He's met Adley, who couldn't have been nicer to him. I now dread seeing my kid on Friday.
I mean this jumps from the front office not caring about the fans, to the front office actively hating the fans. Just WHY?! This guy is the worst. THE WORST. I'll bet his teammates would love to see him traded.

Pitching to Kyle Schwarber with a base open seems less than ideal.
The Braves have played good defense and the Orioles are Orioleing, and that is the difference.
Trevor was at 88 pitches. Did he ask to come out? Otherwise no reason to pull him, especially with the lefties in the order coming up. Just really stupid managing. Again.
I don't need to see anymore to know this team should not be buying at the deadline. It's not easy to sweep anyone or win 7 in a row, so I'm not trying to diminish that accomplishment. Yay. But their level of play is best matched to teams like KC and HOU, and overmatched against good teams like BOS.
This PCA interview is the most inane of an evening full of inane interviews. This whole production is unwatchable.
