Character development for a new picture book sample. I started with pencil sketches on paper, scanned them, and then brought them into Procreate to explore color, texture, and the feeling between the characters.

A little peek at Mizu’s evolution across the pages. I love watching a character shift from one moment to another — the same child, but with a different breath, mood, and light each time. From quiet nerves to underwater wonder. 🌊

From sketch to bloom 🌼 Just playing, just following the drawing.

I tried turning one of my picture book illustrations into a reel 🌊 just floating, soft water moving around, bubbles slowly rising nothing really happens, but kinda makes you want to stay here a little longer

Expanding a moment from last month. I started with a single image, and now I’m slowly building the space, the people, and what’s happening around them. Still in progress, but I like seeing the story unfold this way

I tried animating one of my old illustrations 🌸 just a soft breeze, flowers swaying a little, her hair moving with the wind nothing really happens, but… Spring kinda makes you want to live like this

I took a postcard illustration from last month and started building a bigger story around it. Lately I’ve been thinking about: – where the eye goes – what’s happening in time – little traces of an action Trying to make images feel less like a setup, and more like a moment.
