Since my post about getting to work with doggos kinda exploded I figured I’d share my own babies. I won’t be posting photos of client’s dogs because of privacy and consent, but these are my own loves I get to come home to.

Life Update: I’m finally employed again. And I’m getting paid to play with dogs all day. I accepted a position as a shift lead at a pet boarding facility. I started this week. I’m so sore but I’ve gotten an incalculable amount of puppy kisses… it’s so worth it.

I’m gonna equip Slash with Mjolnir is not a thing I thought I’d ever say, but like, hit with a pumped up Tana, every saproling pings for 4 and that’s just gross… also, I’ve reallllly leaned into the payoff with Tana in the latest iterations, she’s morphed into a Voltron x Burn hybrid and I love it

I had a brilliant idea yesterday going through my bulk while building Kona, Rescue Beastie and sleeved up an entirely different deck that took 3 whole minutes to build… I need more basics but that’s what happens when there’s 97 of them in the deck…

Played two games at my shops “Girls Game Night” as my debut back to in person commander (it’s been 3+ years since I’ve played someone I wasn’t teaching how to play) and fared better than I expected given my sabbatical. Tana/Jeska did gross things, and Sveylun played Queen Maker. Fun was had!

So this week was a week… I quit my job in March. Like, walked out. It had been a long time coming. I’ve been unemployed for 6 weeks. This week, my therapist looked at me point blank and said “So are you ready to talk about disability yet?” It was a lot. It was hard to hear. He had a point. 1/

This thread is very interesting, especially since I’m coming back to the game from before the bracket system was a thing and am still unsure how I feel about it as a very casual goofy player. Where I struggle is when combos interact with turn counts, because they are not always congruent.

While on my B4 deep dive, I realized the issue I had in attempting to build a B4 deck was that I didn't understand what a B4 deck should play or feel like. Because so many people thought that B4 was basically fringe cEDH, while I look at B4 as "too powerful for B3". This is such a wide gulf! 1/?

I was so incredibly butch last night y’all. Went to a professional soccer game (Lou City won 3-1!) and was absolutely watching the end of Wild v Stars Game 4 (Wild won 3-2 in OT!) on my phone during half time.

Y’all, I met Blaze at the local Feeder’s and it was love at first skritch. I’ve not had a kitty of my own since my ex and I split, and I’ve always wanted an orange boy. An older gentleman who just wants quiet snugs according to his bio…. I put an adoption application in as soon as I was home 😍

Y’all, I “organized” my collection for the first time in 3 years, and by that I mean I separated precons into their sets, sorted rares out from uncommon/common, and finally got the 3 WIP decks pulled and set aside instead of randomly strewn throughout. Next Linden and Svyelun get re-sleeved.

So I’ve gotten to love on some amazing beans the last few weeks. Apollo is the sweet 6 month old orange boy at The Man’s, Daisy’s my momma’s sweet old Lady, and Doc is the nervous himbo boi who I’ve taken in as mine.

I love Berta. This is now a Berta Stan page. Berta is gonna be gross with Mutagen Man and Lonis… Am I a Simic Girlie now?

Ok Y’all, I saw Mutagen Man and wanted to build around him immediately. He doesn’t quite fit in T/J but I’m in love with some Simic Token Shenanigans, and the obvious choice for commander would be Donny/Mike partnered… but this is me, and I still don’t like obvious. 1/2
