🏳️‍🌈 Writing queer romance that brings a little magic to your TBR 📚 All That Remains - my twist on the fated bond trope - is OUT NOW! https://juniper-skye.com/links

Is it just me, or are the nicknames/endearments in romance books starting to get silly? I know we're all trying to make our characters and the chemistry between them as memorable as possible, but some of them are just too much. I decided to make up some of my own 🤣

My next novel (also a collaboration with @starultima.bsky.app) is about a fox prince and a baker. This is the start of the meet cute. Well, the part of the meet cute that happens when they're both human - Ethan doesn't know it, but he met Prince Zac when he rescued an injured fox from an alleyway 🦊

I'm grateful for all the ARC reviews I've received so far, but this one review... 😂 Look, I'm British. Will and Nathan are British. Their story is set in the UK. That means THERE IS A LOT OF TEA 🫖 Important discussions. Mundane moments. Literally any occasion. TEA. Right, I'm off to make a cuppa..

How much spice is the right amount of spice? 🤔 My second novel has the opportunity for more. Their relationship is quickly physical, but they're on different pages about whether it's casual or not. So I COULD add more spice and reflect the disconnect between them... 🤔 Decisions, decisions 🤔

If you love magic and whimsy, banter and big emotions, and ALL THE SNACKS, we're friends 💖 You might also like my books. I write queer romance with a sprinkle of magic, end up writing banter even if I'm not really trying, and my characters all have big emotions to work through. PLUS SNACKS.

I restarted this sapphic trope filled novel a couple of weeks ago as the original attempt wasn't quite hitting where I wanted. The new version is so much better, featuring a snarky narrator, a cynical and single-minded protagonist, and a mysterious love interest. I'm so excited to write!

Have you ever had pet rats? Will has pet rats because I used to have pet rats, and he loves them for the same reasons I do: they're adorable, clever, and always happy to see you. Plus when they get used to you, they sit on your shoulder and snuggle into your neck 🥲

My wife doesn't read romance, she doesn't know how unthinkable this is😅 As a romance author writing queer romance novels, there are things which are sacred: there HAS to be a happy ending and the characters CANNOT break up. Life is full of sad endings and breakups, I want my fiction UPLIFTING!
