Betting right now that the incident ties into Mount Minakami (皆神山, which is notably located within Nagano).
Ubame Chirizuka also seems to be themed around the Chiridzuka-kaiō (塵塚怪王) which was envisioned by Toriyama Sekien as a king of the Yamanba, hence her name and backstory.
I love that the crest of Nareko's head seems to be a reference to the paired figures depicted on dosojin statues
