My 2027 Hobonichi Techo planner cover shipped! I love that Earthbound and this planner company exist under the same Shigesato Itoi umbrella. Now I have to wait til November to get my A5 planner in English. I’ll just stare lovingly til then.

This weekend was really nice. The rolled ankle was awful, but it healed quickly. Felt worse than it actually was in the moment. Got to touch, see, hear and smell nature.

Hiked a new place with @doubleb25.bsky.social today, where we saw tons of mushrooms and a few hot dads. Rolled my ankle real bad coming down a hill. Limped the quarter mile back to the car. Stopped at a tiny orchard and bought pears. I found a tart recipe, and he made it. Y’all. So good.

Level-5 has been very openly using Generative AI in their game development and are proud of it. This includes their newly announced titles such as New World of Steam, Yo-Kai Watch 2 and Curious Village Remake.
Does anyone else find this Capstone game Royal Society of Architects SO distasteful? Like…I thought themes about cultural theft and British colonialism were out of favor. They could have chosen ANY other theme. And yet…here we are. I’ll think twice before supporting Capstone in the future.
You can always expect the “fans” to come out when anything Zelda is announced to talk about how awful everything is. I’m withholding judgment as of yet. Ocarina isn’t even close to my favorite game of the series, but I’m happy for everyone who hold it dear.

So far we’ve had a game of Truffle Shuffle, which we thought was good, and a game of Wingspan Pocket, which was really fun despite us struggling with the symbols.
It’s a games weekend! Bringing some favorites and some that I’ve never gotten to the table. Excited to see our friends again and get some time to relax.
Last night I dreamt I kept finding black widow spiders everywhere despite people telling me they don’t exist around here. They were on the walls, floor, in my hair, and in bed. I got bit on the ankle and woke up clutching my ankle. I also dreamt a sequel to a recurring dream I’ve had recently.
