Maybe ...

Asking as many DJs as possible to give me some outside perspective. I've been playing for 25 years, my skills and knowledge span across multiple styles and genres, but that doesn't mean I'm without faults. What are others opinions on my stuff? I don't want to be in my own head on this anymore.

DoorDash is a toxic capitalist platform and I wish I took more proof today. This is what over 90% of offers like like for me on there. Less than a dollar per mile and I have to drive back from the delivery location. Completely unacceptable.

Gonna make another one of them "real me talk" threads, but I feel like it's worth knowing and I hope folks spread this around a little bit if they ever hear someone thinking I dislike them or I'm distant.

I worry that I don't get to play for many things because I don't just go be part of the crowd, but I have limited energy after working and I'd rather not spend what's left fighting social anxiety. So I guess the price I pay for being responsible is feeling excluded and keeping my talents to myself.

I've spent a lot of time talking about how I feel fade-overs and hard cuts are the easy way out when DJing harder genres, being told that sort of stuff isn't really meant to be blended. I've put my money where my mouth is. I'm just sorry to make folks wait a little long for that proof.

Having a few folks explain to me that I have the symptoms of "rejection sensitive dysphoria" and looking into this ... I'm sorry to the folks who've had to deal with my crap. To those who are still with me, thank you. I'm still trying to do my best.

My goal is to some day have a venue for folks to play at instead of everyone being stuck in VR limbo. I miss IRL interaction and I think that's what is sorely missing from a lot of our lives as performers and ravers.

I have never been perfect. No one ever is. But I've tried my best and still do. Always trying to do better. I've lost a lot, but I feel I've gotten stronger over the years. I know I can be a mess at times, but I do my best to be better for the future. Those who have stuck with me ... thank you.

When I was in school, I wasn't very good at history because I found it very boring, but I still passed. By the way these morons do things in the United States these days, they definitely didn't pass.
