That justplainbob from over there. Retired Minnesotan who abides in Stately Moffitt Manor with Mrs. Lungs.

Picked up some yummy pasteries at 85°C Bakery for our breakfast today. Folks, this place is legit. Opens at 10 am, but you can buy the day before for an earlier breakfast. In the Northtown Mall Asia Villiage.

I was just thinking of some of the crazy finishes to gubernatorial races since we moved to MN. Grunseth's hot tub scandal. Mike Hatch's E85 meltdown. Of, course, Jesse V's unlikely victory. Say what you will about Minnesota politics, it's not boring.

We're all familiar with this narrative by now, and I can't help but wonder why the GOP doesn't get similar attention for its primary candidates. In MN, the party is challenging the eligibility of its own leading candidate for governor 🧐

Democratic primary elections in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota have made the Midwest a test case for whether progressive candidates can win in competitive states and what electability really means. n.pr/4hdLR0y

I've started to put my Election Judge Go Bag together. Our day starts at 6 am and doesn't end until late in the evening, so I pack everything I might need for a VERY long day at the polls. Medicines? ✔️ Seat cushion? ✔️ Paperback copy of The Odyssey? ✔️

The "electability" factor in the tight DFL primary race for an open Senate seat is pretty much a wash, IMHO. Outstate MN isn't going to vote for the lesbian candidate OR the Native candiate. They will vote as they always do. The DFL-leaning folk just need to show up in November. Please?

Can anyone in the Twin Cities area recommend an exterminator? We have yellow jackets nesting inside our home, and all our efforts to kill them have failed. We normally leave the bugs alone, but this cannot stand.
