Just attended a wonderful guest lecture from @lisapatel.bsky.social about effects of climate change on early childhood. Facts were depressing, but my main takeaway was for adults to model taking climate action collectively, and also to help our children build a personal connection to nature.

I contributed to this piece from @nytimes.com on #wildfires and #health. This quote from Dr. Afif El-Hasan from American Lung is perfectly said: “Can you imagine how much worse things would be if we hadn’t started cleaning up emissions from our cars?” www.nytimes.com/2025/01/11/c...

On my way to San Diego to represent ROAR as a universal #dyslexia screener in San Diego country school. Whether or not schools choose, ROAR I’m excited to talk with district leaders and teachers about our vision to build deeper, systematic links between research and practice so come find me!

With a mission to democratize access to reading assessments we’re getting ready to launch ROAR@Home for beta testing! The UI/UX is still in its infancy but please report issues and keep your eyes out for a UI/UX designer position later this year.

This is the paper I presented, soon out in Psychological Science: "Co-occurrence and causality among ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia" psyarxiv.com/epzgy Using the great @ntrbiopsy.bsky.social data.

On December 4th we had another session of our BioPsy colloquia. This time, Elsje (@drelsje.bsky.social) and Camiel presented their work. We listened to talks about “Educational Genetics” and “Trusted Upload and Linked Procedure”. Very interesting topics! Thank you for joining.
