If you want to get your players away from dnd, don't use Drawsteel, daggerheart or Pf2e l. Use Break!, Icon, Fabula ultima. Games that give adventure feels while being far enough that they aren't comparing in their heads
My hot take is if you never played a ttrpg RAW you both dont actually know if you like it or if it does what it wants to do well
Never start playing with D&d, pathfinder or WOD groups unless you plan to play only those games.
