PVA glue shares the same abbreviation in both Russian and English because it stands for polyvinyl acetate in both. But in Russian, the abbreviation PVA can also refer to a very specific plot term: "by the author's will" (Po Vole Avtora). All I can find in English is "duct tape plotting."
