www.npr.org/2026/06/12/n... Trump's response to anything he doesn't like is either violence or feigned ignorance. He didn't like the COVID infection rates, so he wanted to stop testing. The western US burns more and more every year, so he wants to stop research into wildfires.

President Trump is taking aim at forest and wildfire research just as the West is poised to burn

President Trump is trying to downsize the U.S Forest Service and eliminate wildfire and smoke research as the American West is facing a potentially epic summer fire season.

The winter Olympics start today. How many hours before Dear Leader "jokes" that he deserves a gold medal for something then whines until someone gives him a fake one?

This is a $67 billion gift to ultra-wealthy tax cheats. Nothing unites Republicans like helping the ultra-wealthy get away with breaking the law and cheating on their taxes.

Repeal IRA’s IRS Enforcement Funding $46.6 billion in 10-year costs VIABILITY: HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW Over the FY25-FY34 period, that rescission is estimated to reduce outlays by $20 billion, reduce revenues by $66.6 billion, and as result increase the deficit by $46.6 billion. This estimate is relative to the 2024 baseline.

Eliminate Credit for Child and Dependent Care $55 billion in 10-year savings VIABILITY: HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW Taxpayers can claim a credit for a portion of their child and dependent care expenses (up to $2,100). This option would remove the child and dependent care credit, yielding $55 billion in savings over 10 years.

They want to repeal the IRA’s energy tax credits, which are what lowers carbon emissions and invests in clean energy. At a time when energy production in America is booming and clean energy is taking off, Republicans want to surrender the clean energy industry to China and raise your energy bills.

Repeal Green Energy Tax Credits Up to $796 billion in 10-year savings VIABILITY: HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW This option would repeal credits created and expanded under the Inflation Reduction Act. These credits are related to clean vehicles, clean energy, efficient building and home energy, carbon sequestration, sustainable aviation fuels, environmental justice, biofuel, and more. The full cost of the IRA provisions is about $329 billion, which becomes about $800 billion when paired with the tailpipe emission rule designed to dramatically increase the uptake of EVs and EV credit use. Based on political will, there are several smaller reform options available (starting as low as $3 billion) that would repeal a smaller portion of these credits.
