I'm running about 40 watts into an end fed longwire strung in a tree while activating Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park. I hear RI1FJL call CQ and figure I'd give it a shot, fully expecting nothing to come of it. WTF? Not possible! Clublog's log check says I'm in the log. I'm shocked. #HamRadio

It wasn't a great 6M opening here for me during the CQ VHF Digital Contest. But it was good enough to make it interesting. I worked stations in Arizona and in the Rockies from New Mexico up to Wyoming. #HamRadio

I worked 39 #hamradio stations yesterday morning while activating the Sonoma State Historical Park as part of the Parks on the Air (POTA) program. Bruce, KB6ZA, worked me and then stopped by a little later to say hi in person.

Nice couple of days working African #HamRadio stations from my very modest home station. I managed to log Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Malawi. Two on 17M using FT8 and two on 20M using FT4.

My wife and I will be visiting #Lucca, Italy and #Bordeaux France in March. Are there any #HamRadio operators out there in those areas who might be able to meet for lunch or a drink? We are considering a move to Europe and I want to get a feel for the radio operating environment in each area.

Recently received this certificate from the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) celebrating my 40th year of being a member. Now I'm starting to feel old! QCWA eligibility is now well in my rearview mirror. It's been fun! #HamRadio
