I think there is some truth to analogizing Kafka to insects. After all, insects are creatures that, while alive, move as if they were automatic machines or robots. I think Kafka has unique insights about how she views humanity and how she perceives her own humanity. +

I've always wanted to see Kafka in misery or in tears, because that would mean her emotions were so intense that they overflowed the boundaries of her body. But, true to who she is, her sorrowful expression remains hollow and utterly inscrutable, revealing nothing to the surface.
