Author, mom, and kitty lover. Shameless Simmer, magnet collector, Zentangler, and Yelper. I have traditionally published two books under the name Kristi Elliot. I am currently exploring options, and I am focused on living my best life.

I’ve had a rough writing week. My husband found my first book up for sale used for $40 on amazon. It was my earliest professional work, and I know my writing was very different, but I feel undermined. Not to mention, my MiL got a copy of my first book and sold it at a yard sale. #writerslife

I saw something recently about young folks whining they only want first person pov, and those are the only good books. Honeys, do I have news for you. My shit ain't for you, and you might as well beat your chest and scream, Me Tarzan, you Jane while using your toes and fingers to count. #writing

My story has a few romantic relationships. I love exploring the positives and negatives of those relationships. One scene I love is either the most romantic first meeting or literal love bombing. I’m really happy that people either love or dislike that pairing.

Does your book/wip contain a romantic relationship in some fashion? What do you enjoy about it? #WritingPrompt

What is your favorite and least favorite character in #Lost? Favorite: Sawyer for working through his trauma and becoming a better man. Least Favorite: Jack because he had a holier than thou personality. Honorable Mention: Richard Alpert because he was sympathetic and ambiguous. #TV

I feel nervous rewriting The Social Media Bride because it’s already been published. Even with my rights back, I don’t think any agents would want something previously published. Then I have to ask myself if I should change the name altogether but I’m going to forge ahead with the project.

Hana is a cis woman (she/her). Her gender is important because, like her age and socioeconomic status, it contributes to people taking her less seriously and showing doubt that she is the chosen one. I also wanted an idealistic, SOFT woman protagonist in a dark fantasy epic.

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters Here's one I've somehow never asked before! What is your character's gender? Why did you choose that? Is it important to their story? #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

You know you’re in a small town when the store opens at 6 am and you’ve got a line of 15 people waiting outside (not just instacart). 😅 Somehow, there were still no registers open and I felt like a butthole checking out my 40 items in a fast self check lane. 🙈🙈

Hana is nineteen. Not exactly a kid, but younger than most in the story. She is still growing up and has to deal with healing a damaged world and lethal politics. Her age causes most to treat her like a child and disregard her opinions. She’s still at an age where her idealism hasn't been destroyed.

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters Here's one I asked a long time ago! But there are many new characters now, so let's revisit: How old is your character, and is that important to the story? Why did you pick that particular age group for them? #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts
