A private company starts offering shark attack tours, causing protests from the townspeople. A publicity stunt that mirrors Alex Kitner's death makes things worse, leading to violence between the company and the people
let's pretend: Universal announces a screenwriting contest for Jaws 5. What's your pitch?
"The Wicker Man" should be remade as a musical. And not one of those ironic musicals based on old campy horror films. An earnest Horror/Musical. The original film is just a couple songs short of that anyway.
Yeah, it's straight up "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" (or Head that Wouldn't Die) with a mad scientist trying to find a new body for his lover, who is a head being kept alive. And I absolutely love it. This is a trashy, sleazy piece film with a thin layer of Hollywood gloss on top.
Before anyone else comes on here to say they thought X-Files: I Want To Believe was good before the director cut comes out-I know you didn’t because I remembered people viciously getting on me for saying it’s literally a cool and grounded remake of the Head That Wouldn’t Die.
Tried watching the He-Man movie. I might give it another shot but like... I can only handle so much "Hahaha wasn't this show dumb?" before I go "Then why make the movie?"
There should be designated places where its perfectly legal to have sex in public.

Remember when Disney turned Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers into a propaganda film about how draconian copyright laws are the only way to protect your nostalgic childhood memories? That was pretty fucked up right?
Nothing will ever match the pure bliss of listening to the Twin Peaks theme while blitzed on edibles for the very first time.
This is why there are no good cops. You can try, but they will fucking destroy you for doing the right thing.

Watching the original Japanese version of Digimon and holy shit Gatomon's actress is fucking intense. Like, overall I have nostalgia for the goofy English Dub. And I do think some things are better in the Dub. But wow Gatomon's original voice is like... Damn, you brought your A game this role.
Me: I don't know why the English dub of Digimon changed Tailmon to Gatomon. Also Me: Gatomon is a much better name than Tailmon. Me, right now, finally figuring out: OH SO THAT'S WHY THEY CHANGED IT.

Imagine being the director who lost the "Jaws" to Spielberg because he wouldn't stop calling the shark a whale.

What's even worse about this is that the Knicks owner, James Dolan, was caught specifically tracking trans women for years, including when they went to the bathroom. No suspension there but speaking out against transphobia nets you a 5 game suspension. www.them.us/story/jim-do...

I've always wanted to make a web series patterned after old film serials. But in a sincere way, not a tongue in cheek way.
I've accepted that we will never have a truly great X-Men film.
Making a Spider-Man film just to introduce a forthcoming X-Men film is why I don't watch these movies anymore. Also, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey is about the worst kept secret since Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the last film.
Gotta shut down the factory that makes this kinda guy
Anyways, I'm not the first person to ever observe this, but the current anti-trans panic is just a reskinned Satanic panic, right down to the same people pushing it. Actually, the one difference is that this time they're targeting a group that actually exists.
On no Earth should a paperback of "Michelle Remembers" cost $50.

Amnesty International needs to throw everything they’ve got at this case. Burn their reserves, go to court, do a press tour, whatever it takes. If they don’t, they have ceased to exist as a human rights organization.
