I honestly think I've squashed the last remaining bug. As such, and if I don't find any more, then it's Mega Drive release time tomorrow! Along with the 1.7 update for Amiga and Neo Geo!

Just to keep people in the loop, the Mega Drive version was delayed at the last minute because the engine has a bug in it which stops music being played correctly. I'm awaiting a bug fix for it, once that is in and all functionality is confirmed then it can get launched!

One of the more difficult parts about doing my own thing is that when it comes to actually letting people know I've released something I have no clue where to post about it, and just have to take a stab in the dark and hope I hit the bullseye (which for those keep score, so far I have not, really).

Mega Drive version is almost done, pending an engine fix for SFX not triggering correctly every fourth time they are played, bit of an odd one that. As for the next project, I'm trying to work out if I stay in the realm of arcade games or do something different. Not quite sure yet.

And just when I think I've stomped all the bugs out, I find another one. I've lost count of how many new builds I've made this evening. But each one is closer to a V1.5 release of Blue And Red - Fight The Monsters for Amiga and Neo Geo!

Today's fun times! Writing a bunch of manuals (and drawing appropriate controllers to cover Amiga, CD32, Neo Geo AES/MVS, and Neo Geo CD. And yes, I did include all three button variants of the Neo Geo CD controller (including that from the as-yet unreleased AES+), because pedantry.

A collection of manual pages for a game, there are three different variations of the diagram for the Neo Geo CD Controller, along with instructions for the game.

Neo Geo versions are basically done (pending full playthrough testing on AES, MVS, and CD). Have been making the manual (for Neo Geo and Amiga) in Affinity Publish, when they're done everything will be good to launch! And then to get the Mega Drive build across the line (just missing music now).

Earok being the legend he is fixed a bug in Scorpion Engine, so pending a complete playthrough test the Neo Geo version of Blue And Red - Fight The Robots: Arcade Edition is almost good to go! (Side note: In case anyone was wondering, the game's title is deliberately long, for shits and giggles 😂)

Owners of Dead Space 2 on Steam, Wemino released a tool that removes TAGES from it. It's a discontinued DRM that limits the game to five PCs, exceeding it locks you from playing it. This tool gets rid of TAGES and allows you to play the Steam release without having to worry about activation limits.

Got it working on AES and MVS (emulation via MAME at least for now)! You know the joke, "Who will win? 200,000 lines of code or one missing semicolon"? Yeah. Something similar happened.

I have a 99% ready build of Blue And Red: Fight The Robots for the Neo Geo CD! If I can work out why it is crashing on the title screen then I'll have 99% ready builds for AES and MVS too!
