Day 15 of the #30DayMapChallenge Fire. Burning of crop residues creates emissions. The map shows about 60k agricultural fires detected in 2024 by the NASA FIRMS program. Conservation agriculture as promoted by @cimmyt.bsky.social and FIRA use these crop residues to increase soil health and yields.
