Happy for the perennials and the pollinators that keep showing up for each other.

A fickle wind is bringing smoke in from fires to the north and to the south. It is not as bad as it has been before, grateful for that. Positive thoughts go out to all those who are suffering through evac alerts and orders, and those with breathing challenges.

A bright orange late day sun behind poplar trees, the sky is hazy from wildfire smoke.

Last year the Speedwell was sad and droopy, but this season all of the rainfall has it looking much more perky. It is said to be drought tolerant but clearly it has its limits. #gardening

A flower garden view featuring lavender, Speedwell and Maltese Cross. There is also delphinium coming into bloom.

Happy to finally see all of the green, before the first mow & the full onset of dandelion season. YAY! 😊👏 BTW, we are not disparaging the yellow weed. They're better than nothing, for our pollinators waking up before the higher quality nectar comes along. 🐝 #spring #pollinators

A collage with the top picture showing new green grass, after a chilly Spring, better late than never. Also shown is the trunk of a poplar tree.
The bottom picture features 3 freshly bloomed dandelions, one with a tiny winged bug in it.
