Happy for the perennials and the pollinators that keep showing up for each other.
This tree was transplanted from a volunteer in a friend's yard, close to a couple decades ago. It doesn't produce fruit every year, so always fun to find these little plums when it does 🤩 #gardening #wildplum
New poppy flowers from seeds planted this Spring. It would be better if there was more in that bare spot. Next year!! #gardening #poppies
A fickle wind is bringing smoke in from fires to the north and to the south. It is not as bad as it has been before, grateful for that. Positive thoughts go out to all those who are suffering through evac alerts and orders, and those with breathing challenges.
Too rainy for a walk on the trail today, but ventured outside during a lull to find this little gem. #gardening #tigerlily
Last year the Speedwell was sad and droopy, but this season all of the rainfall has it looking much more perky. It is said to be drought tolerant but clearly it has its limits. #gardening
This plant was adopted after friends tidied up their rural garden, so not sure what it is. A I says possibly "Sneezewort"...? #gardening #sneezewort
This "Woodland Sage" came from a garden center two years ago, and this summer it is offering up some pretty blossoms.
More color today in the flower garden 😊. The Maltese Cross is ready to host any and all pollinators. #gardening
My snaps after a shower, no worse for wear after the thunderstorm 👍
This little bee is not going to let the thunder keep it from making its rounds today. ⛈ #PollinatorWeek
These happy snaps don't need much besides sun, and alternating rain & beet cooking water. They were started with seeds harvested from last years bedding plants. 🤩 #snapdragons #gardening
Watching these plants come into bloom has been a lot more fun this year. For the first time I harvested seeds from last year's bedding plants. An experiment gone right 😁 #gardening #snapdragons #marigolds
This chive plant volunteered to grow here. As the pollinators seem to love this flower, it will stay. 🐝 Rainy day, no customers. 🌨 #gardening #chives
Always first to bloom in my flower beds, these pretty perennials do well with shade and the late day sun. #gardening #anenomes
This bee....finding a way in but then needs help getting back outside. Happy to help, but let's all just stay calm. 😅
This cute fella stopped by today on his way to the creek. If only they'd just keep our lawns trimmed and leave our flowers be 😅 #wildlife
Happy to finally see all of the green, before the first mow & the full onset of dandelion season. YAY! 😊👏 BTW, we are not disparaging the yellow weed. They're better than nothing, for our pollinators waking up before the higher quality nectar comes along. 🐝 #spring #pollinators
