I took a step back to learn the AI features I'd ignored building my first AI native project: skills, MCP, sub-agents, progressive disclosure. Then I wrote 5 of my own (but I still think you get 90% of the way there with raw prompting). More in the thread.

In February my toddler asked for a coloring page of an "excavator playing a violin". His two favorite things. I made one in ChatGPT, but it didn't look great. That weekend I prototyped an app to enhance the process. I thought I'd ship it in a month (I was wrong).
