Just my opinion, but if you want to start either crochet or knitting, I think starting from crochet and then move on to knitting is the way. Because crochet has more variety of things you can make quickly, it's more satisfying for a beginner. Get the idea of yarn craft, then move on to knitting.

This is one week progress of my second knitting project.🧶 The reason why it's taking so long is that I had to gauge a couple of times, and then I unraveled my first try bc it was a big mess. It's a slow hobby, all right. I'm enjoying it, though. It's like a growing a plant.

My name change journey-- The issue of the wrong name on my card might be fixed. I called them again, and it seems they finally have a correct name on their system. Now I'm waiting for the new card! They told me to wait for 10 days.

btw, the wrong name on the card issue hasn't been fixed either. This system problem is so inside of the system core issue, none of the phone member representatives seem to have the authority to get to the problem and fix it. They always do what they can do and hope it's fixed. They at least try. 🙄

This is getting interesting. Another system problem occurred probably due to my name change. I'm suddenly no longer of the owner of my vehicle. I got a notice today even though I updated and got a new title and everything two months ago. Hmmm. Interesting. Obstacles keep emerging as I expected.

I've been researching about knitting/crochet community. First, I thought crafting your own things would be sustainable and anti-consumerism, but I'm finding out it has a side of being a part of consumerist, which means hoarding yarn and notions and bags, etc. Interesting to think about.

What I'm struggling as a knitting beginner is that I don't know how to fix my mistake when I find it. I tried to go back and fix it, but it didn't work. Hmmmmm... I don't know what I'm looking at when I see stiches.👀

I started knitting! 🧶 I've knitted for the past four hours to figure out what style I wanted to use, and I decided to go with the English knitting.
