KanjiBox for Android announcement: following a few conversations, I have switched it to a lite/paid model (still no subs, because subs suck). It is also the last meaningful update to Android for the foreseeable future (save bug fixes). As I have limited time and will focus it on iOS users. Sorry 😔

Today's idiom, courtesy of #kanjibox debugging: 「女房の尻に敷かれる」 yes, your guess is as good as mine… #japanese #日本語

A new version of KanjiBox (3.2) has been release to both iOS and Play store, with a few bug fixes and improvements: * Stroke recognition on KanjiDraw is now a lot more lenient on small variations * Flashcards can be filtered by stats * Streaks can be rescued #kanji #japanese

ngl, this being the only review left on the App Store over the past 2 weeks, is a tad demoralising… 🥲

Major update to the Online version of KanjiBox: kanjibox.net This version follows the same layouts as the tablet version of KanjiBox and is completely FREE. Just create an account and sign in to start using it. #kanjibox #japanese #nihongo #kanji #jlpt

KanjiBox is and will always remain a *one-time* payment app. Subscription pricing is a great way for publishers to charge a lot more, while simultaneously appearing cheaper. Companies and VCs love that model. As a user, I thoroughly despise it. And have no intention to ever move KanjiBox to it.

Same features as before, with a refreshed UI and a few improvements (more coming soon!)

KanjiBox v3 is out on the iOS App Store 🥳 apps.apple.com/us/app/kanji... (Android version will follow in a few days) More features and improvements should follow shortly. Please support by posting/updating your review in the App Store 🙏 #kanjibox #japanese #nihongo #日本語 #iOS #app

"Is KanjiBox an AI-based language app?" The first version of KanjiBox was written as a "Facebook app" (remember those?!) 19 years ago. Yes, that's a `1` and a `9`… I think we can safely say it is AI slop-free. 😉 #kanjibox #kanji #japanese

KanjiBox 3.0 is coming soon! This new version is a complete rewrite and runs on both iOS and Android (at last!) Currently recruiting beta-testers: reach out if you're interested. #kanjibox #kanji #japanese #nihongo ＃日本語 #iOS #android
